Coastal Basement Cottage

The Coastal Cottage Basement project began as a blank canvas. The unfinished basement in the 1940s Cape Cod held incredible potential for a growing family. From mapping out layouts on the cement floor to layering in antique pieces, we guided the project from start to finish. Inspired by their love of seaside vacations and a family history rooted in fishery and coastal living, the design evokes the ease of the coast without feeling kitschy. A soothing color palette and thoughtful details create a relaxed yet refined retreat, perfectly suited to the rhythm of family life.
